The amount of times I had goosebumps on Kyle and Heather’s wedding? More than ever! It was a day full of family traditions, new traditions, beautiful choices, and I feel honored to share this very long blog post with you!
THE VENUE
The St. Paul hotel is one of my favorite venues in St. Paul. It is beautiful, and the staff is very helpful! These getting ready photos are extra special! The beautiful dress Heather wore was made by her mother! Over 10 months of hard labor to make the perfect, one of kind dress!
I seriously need to learn how to tie a bow tie! Although I had fun watching these guys You Tube how to do it! Kyle was so nervous he could barely speak! It wasn’t until after they had their first look that Kyle went back to acting like himself…
I love “First Look” moments. We had not planned one with Heather’s dad, but I’m so happy it happened as beautifully as it did… And then it was time for the Kyle and Heather to see each other for the first time that day!
I love that they both got emotional, and that the love they share was so evident!
THE BRIDAL PARTY
I can’t tell you how excited I got when I saw the bridesmaids dresses! You guys!!! Doesn’t it make you want to be a bridesmaid so you can wear one of these beauties? I’m loving the mix and match trend, and believe this trend will stay strong for 2017.
Oh Bride and Groom… Thank you! For your kindness, for making me feel like a friend on your special day. For letting me have my “visions” and going with it. You are a beautiful couple and it was such an honor to learn more about why you are so perfect for each other!
THE CEREMONY
Mears park has a lot of meaning to the couple, so it was the perfect choice for the ceremony! My favorite part was in the middle of the ceremony, when the bride and groom decided to have their own version of “Two become One” ceremony. Instead of lighting a unity candle, or having a sand ceremony, the couple asked for both sides of the aisle to meet in the middle, get to know each other, and blend… It was a beautiful sight!
We also had to stop at one of my favorite spots by Mears Park… I discovered it during their engagement session!
THE RECEPTION
Kimberly of Pink Peony Weddings & Events made sure Heather’s vision came to life at the St. Paul Hotel. These details make me want to start planning my own wedding, and I’m not even engaged! The gold chairs are my favorite, and transform a room! My friends at The Seatery have the best selection!
And when the dancing started? Oh my…
