I have the cutest “What to Wear Guide” I send my clients before their session. I have to say though, I already want to update it because my families just took it to a whole new level this year! I always start with: pick 1 print (like a dress with a nice print/pattern with 2-4 colors), and pull from the colors on that print for everybody else. 

What I love about this session is the fact that “E” is wearing a a skirt, shirt and headband with a different print/pattern. Why does it work? If you’re mixing prints and patterns, make sure one of them is a big print (like the skirt), and the other a small/tight print (like the shirt). The solid vest and tights help too! 

Go bold next time you do family photos! 

And this fab family? I love the way they express love for each other. “E” is super smart, but I think the fact that mom and dad actually take the time to answer, and encourage her questions, brings out the curiosity in her brain! They nurture her soul and I can’t wait to see more as she grows up!
