The Barn at Stoney Hills Wedding

This was my first time shooting a The Barn at Stoney Hills Wedding! I was blown away by the property, and the care the owners put into every details of the venue.

One thing about being a wedding photographer is that every time I shoot a wedding, I find something I would have done differently about my own wedding day. Paul and Hallie’s wedding day had me thinking that a few times!

Bride getting ready at The Barn at Stoney Hills wedding

Hallie got ready in the bridal “cabin” with her mom, sister, future sister-in-law, and flower girl. I loved the big chandelier, and how Paul could be right next door, getting ready as well!

Beautiful invitation suite from Minted, and wedding dress from Annika Bridal (one of my faves!). I love mixing some detail shots on my blog, doesn’t it help tell the story of the day?

The photo of Hallie twirling below is one of my favorites Ever!!!

Getting ready room at the Barn at Stoney Hills Wedding

See the pheasant feathers on Hallie’s bouquet? Hallie’s dad and Paul went hunting for months to get them for the wedding! I thought that was so sweet, and such a cool bonding activity for dad and son-in-law.

And just look at that venue!

Because of COVID, we weren’t able to have an engagement session before the wedding. But these two absolutely nailed it, and were the cutest ever the entire time!

And Intimate Wedding Ceremony

And a ceremony for the books! Very intimate, and full of details!

Ceremony at The Barn at Stoney Hills Wedding

The hexagon backdrop was made by Paul! He finished it the day before the wedding. It was perfect!

I love that Paul and Hallie shared their own vows, and made sure the wedding ceremony was very personalized to them as a couple. The spot they chose for the ceremony was beautiful, and felt private and perfect for their intimate day.

This was my very first time styling a table for a wedding!!! It was so exciting to do it though, and I LOVED how much it added to the whole styling of the day! The only thing was how windy is was! I can’t tell you how many times I lit those candles only to have them blow off right away… oh well!

The cake was made by the groom’s mother, and the beautiful floral, was Sadie’s Floral!

When Paul and Hallie booked, I sent them a bottle of champagne in the mail, and guess what? They actually saved it to pop it on their wedding day! I thought that was so cool!

The guests were basically all family members, totaling less than 20 including myself. What I love about these intimate weddings is that you truly know every single person who’s with you celebrating. It felt extra special to be there!

Paul and Hallie’s “song” started playing right as we were wrapping up the day, which led to an impromptu first dance…
