PHOTOGRAPHERS: Want to learn my tips to creating beautiful flatlays?

When I went to Australia in March (for the most amazing engagement session), my client set me up on google so I could start getting reviews! I emailed a few clients, and got the sweetest reviews right away! Here are some of my favorite 2019 wedding reviews!

When I was at the beginning phases of wedding planning I had received some great advise from someone and it was was to make a top three must have list for you and have your fiancé make a top three list for him and stick with it. One of my top three was to invest in a high end photographer so we would have our day documented in such a beautiful way that we could carry the memory with us and our special family, forever! I felt it was worth the investment! After doing much research I found our photographer, Poly Mendes! I was so excited when she agreed to work with us! I was planning from afar so we chatted with the lovely Poly via Skype as we were not able to meet in person before the wedding. We knew without a doubt that we were making the right choice and we didn’t have to worry, at all! I can honestly say it was one of my favorite parts of my whole wedding having Poly be our photographer! She made us all feel so comfortable and made friends with us all too! Poly has some big fans within my family: After the wedding my brother says when I get married I want her to be the photographer at my wedding and my grandma said if she’s ever in Duluth, MN have her call me and I would love to get together with her and take her around town! It was an experience we’ll never forget. She is sweet and captures the littlest things that made your day, your day! You’ll also have little moments that you’ll treasure besides the dreamy photos she captures; she happened to see several monarch butterflies floating along the shoreline at our lake location and pointed them out to us and told us the significance of them which is very meaningful to us to this day! I’m blown away by her talent and grace. She’s a gem and someone you will not be disappointed in, I promise!

If you are looking for someone who sees photography as an art rather than a job, than Poly is your photographer. Not only did she make beautiful photos, she has her own creative form and catches rare moments and unique angles. When we met Poly at her studio, we knew right away that she was different than other photographers, but what we didn’t realize is that we had found our lifelong photographer. After our engagement shoot with Poly in Australia, for days we both were daydreaming about the great session we had while she was here. The proofs that came back were incredible and so quick! Please consider Poly for any event, she is a real artist in photographing people. Thank you Poly for making what we thought was going to be an arduous task into a fun and easy session. You have forever contributed to our life, and we look forward to our wedding in September. You have given us a lifetime of memories. Photos are worth so much! Don’t hesitate, book Poly for the best experience possible.

We absolutely loved working with Poly and will work with her for many years to come! She made us feel so comfortable and ourselves throughout our engagement sessions and even more so on our wedding day. It is very clear she truly loves her job and is passionate about perfectly capturing emotions in her work. She would ask us sweet questions about each other, getting us to show real emotions and, honestly, fall a little more in love. I would and have recommended Poly to everyone. She is not only an absolutely amazing and talented photographer; she is the sweetest, most thoughtful person!

Poly is incredible! I have only positive things to say about her. Even before we got together to actually shoot our engagement session, Poly took the time to get to know who my now-husband and I were as individuals and as a couple. When the time came for the photoshoot, she was really able to capture what makes us “us.” Not only does Poly have this amazing eye for taking a beautiful picture, but she brings out the life in those she photographs. Nothing is staged; it’s just us at our most authentic, happy moments. Having worked with her for the engagement, I knew that I wouldn’t have to stress about our wedding pictures. I could just trust her to find the moment and capture it rather than having to be overly-prescriptive about it on top of everything else we had to do for the big day. By the time our wedding rolled around, I felt natural for our photos, like we were just enjoying the best day of our lives with a good friend, instead of forcing ourselves to get the ideal pictures. And again, we wound up with the most beautiful, perfect shots of our perfect day.”
