ITALIA… Where every little corner has delicious gelato, and every time I open my eyes I want to take a picture. And truly, I’m not exaggerating. I think it was just a couple of years ago that I explored Rome, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast, so I was super excited to go back to Italy and see Milan, Venice, Como, Bellagio and Varenna.
Como is a short train ride from Milan, and a must see city in Northern Italy. The Como Cathedral was one of my favorite buildings to visit. Since I’ve always loved the gothic style of architecture, it was a treat to see it in person. As I walked the little streets by it, I almost felt like I was in a movie set. Truly breathtaking!
Then we went to Bellagio via ferry boat. Again, if you’ve gone this far, the village of Bellagio will take your breath away with it’s little shops, alleys, and restaurants.
I also fell in love with all the gardens, the flowers, and the amazing gelato…
And the best sunset spot? Varenna. We sat outside, eating bruschetta, drinking wine, and seeing the sky turn all shades of orange and pink over the water. It was unforgettable!
