I think one of the best things when booking a wedding venue, is finding a place that will be stunning, rain or shine (or snow, blizzard, hail, tornado, etc…). ESPECIALLY in Minnesota! This past Saturday I shot a wedding at The Beach Club, Minneapolis and even though it was raining, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!
First Look at the Beach Club
The first look happened in this beautifully lit room! I made sure to ask that all lights be turned off so all we had was the natural window light. Trust me, turn those lights OFF for photos and they’ll be MUCH prettier!
Ysabelle and Cole read their personal vows right after their first look. As luck would have it, I was the only person allowed in the room for that beautiful moment! Bring on the tissues! Then they exchanged gifts, and my jaw dropped at the stunning Cartier watch Cole gave his bride! He also gave her a flower dipped in gold, that will never die! I mean, he might win best gifts ever.
We followed those lovely moments with Bride and Groom portraits! The stairs, the gorgeous floral by Christine Anderson, the perfect wedding planning, design, and day of execution of Nicolle from Mother of the Bride! Every single detail was flawless!
Cole and Ysabelle met in college on the way to a party where Cole was the designated driver for the event! After that night, Cole reached out to Ysabelle on Facebook and the rest is basically history! Their first date was over some BBQ and they have been dating since! They love music (some of their shared favorites are Fleetwood Mac, Chris Stapleton and Train (and more recently Olivia Rodrigo!!), good wine, good food, and… games! They also love their friends and family. It was very evident throughout their day just how much they wanted everyone to have the best time! All to say, these two have big hearts, and I’M HERE FOR IT!
The Bridal Party
The sweetest wedding party anyone could ask for! The soft pastel blues, with the timeless black tuxes were just icing on the cake for me! I spent the entire day laughing with them and feeling all the good energy and vibes that was pouring out of each one of the people you’ll see in the photos below.
Wedding Ceremony at the Beach Club
It wouldn’t be a Minneapolis Beach Club Wedding without these stunning stairs! The crystals on the light fixtures, the white chiavari chairs, the elegant wall paper… All those details form the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable wedding ceremony!
I have to admit I got teary-eyed at this moment right here… Cole was trying so hard not to cry, and Ysabelle’s entire focus was on him. Goosebumps!
A few more bridal portraits on the terrace after signing the marriage certificate!
Light and Airy Reception
Once again I was blown away by the details here. From the linens, to the florals, to the stunning (and delicious) cake! Being a “Light and Airy” photographer means carefully choosing the venues that I’ll work in. The Beach Club is definitely a perfect choice with all the big windows and natural light!
And just like that… Mr. and Mrs. Daill!
