A backyard garden tented wedding has never looked this fabulous EVER! A couple of Saturdays ago my jaw dropped to the floor the moment I arrived at Allison’s parents’ house in St. Paul. Right on Summit Ave, they purchased the beautiful house over 36 years ago. According to her dad, he’s been renovating since! And I believe it with how stunning it is! How fun to have a celebration in such a special place!

When Allison and I first had our wedding consultation she shared pictures of the dress and shoes she was wearing, and I knew that moment I wanted to shoot the wedding! But the biggest thing was her answer about what was one of her favorite things about Tim: “He’s the kindest person I’ve ever met!” I always say I choose my couples as much as they choose me. Kindness is a key word I’m always looking for. Followed by fabulous style… And both Allison and Tim have both!

The dress that took my breath away? This stunning Monque Lhuiller! The ultimate dress I hope Allison wears at least once a year for the rest of her life! And the shoes? Jimmy Choos!

Enters the handsome groom, wearing a black tux! I rest my case on their style expertise.

Now full disclosure, this was actually Tim and Allison’s SECOND wedding!!! The first was in March, in Costa Rica! Little fun fact, I was also in Costa Rica at the same time, however, 4 hours away. I’m still bummed I didn’t get to photograph that wedding!

Back to this moment, when Tim saw Allison for the first time in her NEW dress, his expression takes the win for all first looks I’ver ever shot in my 18 years in business!!! It was so fun to watch his appreciation for how beautiful his bride looked!

The couple kept the wedding party small for the second wedding! And I am here for it!!!

I’m sure you noticed Allison wearing a different dress on some of the pictures. That’s because she started the day wearing the dress she wore to the Costa Rica wedding! Then she changed into the “garden wedding” dress, the Monique!
