The last time I shared photos of this family they had just had baby number one! Now they welcomed the sweetest twins to the mix, AND moved into their forever home! If you love this type of session, you might be asking yourself is an in-home newborn session right for me?

Truth is the more I shoot newborn session at my client’s home the more I love it! It’s comfortable and there’s a lot less planning involved since you don’t have to actually get out the door with your babe(s)! There’s also no forgetting anything! So I would say an in-home session would be right for anyone!

Sometimes babies come early and the nursery isn’t ready, or you might be in the middle of a move, or you simply don’t want to have anyone come into your house until you’re ready for visitors. In that case, an in-studio session might work best for you.

In the case of this family (whom I absolutely adore), their house was the perfect choice! Lots of natural light, beautifully decorated, with good backgrounds in every room!

Is an in-home newborn session right for me? Truly, it’s your call! I’ll share my personal experience. When I had my baby we were in the process of packing to move to a new house. Our house had boxes EVERYWHERE, and the new house wasn’t quite ready for us. So I was so thankful I had a studio to use! If we’re blessed with a second baby, I 100% want an in-home session though!
