This St Agnes Church Wedding was one of my favorites of the season! Beautiful details, a super fun wedding party, and it all ended with delicious Italian food, which is my favorite!
We can all agree that 2020 will forever be a year to remember for all of us. But for all engagement couples, they went through everything plus more. Change of dates, change of venues, change of guest lists, change of vendors… It wasn’t easy. All weddings that took place this year were probably not “Plan A” weddings.
For Jon and Maria, at one point they were close to just calling it all off, when a “fairy godmother” called and said “leave it to me, I’ll make it work.” So with a new plan for just about everything, they went ahead with the wedding, on a stunning Fall day.
Maria didn’t miss a beat, and was as happy as can be the entire day.
And how stunning did Jon and Maria look on their wedding day! I love that Maria’s “something borrowed” was her friend’s veil, which looked stunning on her.
Minnesota’s weather can be absolutely unpredictable, so imagine how happy we all were when we got to enjoy high 60s for their beautiful wedding day? The leaves had turned to beautiful shades of yellow and orange, and everything was perfect!
The Ceremony
I have to say churches can be difficult from a photographer’s point of view. The rules of what we can, and can’t do, is normally quite extensive, and I’ve been frustrated 8 out of 10 times I shoot a church wedding. Which is why I want to say this was one of my favorite churches EVER!
St Agnes was so accommodating, and I was actually able to move around and get the shots I wanted with permission! I would highly recommend this church to anyone!
The Wedding Party
A wedding party for the books! I was already feeling pretty pregnant, and not very sure how I was going to handle an 11 hour wedding day, but I had so much help from all these people below, the 11 hours felt like 4. So much kindness, I couldn’t me more thankful!
And these two? Obsessed with them! Maria and I could very well be twins with all the things we have in common… Like our love for gorgeous shoes, decorating for all the seasons, our obsessions with our sisters… I hope Maria and Jon realize they are stuck with me for life, because I love love love them!
We went to St Kates for a few bridal party shots, and what a stunning campus! It’s also where Maria went, so an extra special location!
And remember the Italian dinner I mentioned at the beginning of the post? It was at Luci Ancora. The food was AMAZING, the service top notch, and the creme brûlée one of my favorites I’ve tried in the cities (and I’m picky!).
Cheers to the Frisbys!!!!
