I love light and stylish engagement photos, and these two absolutely nailed it! We also had the most beautiful day, with gorgeous, golden hour light. This session was shot at one of my favorite spots, the Arboretum in Chaska. They do require a photo permit to shoot there, however, the permit covers everyone’s entry fee, so it ends up not being too bad.

I always recommend 2-3 outfits for an engagement session, and love when my clients read my style guide to see what photographs best! K+T definitely did! Things like ironing a dress shirt (for the guy), and getting professional hair and makeup (for the girl) also makes a huge difference in how the images turn out!

And yes, I always say yes to popping some bubbly during engagement sessions! Another prop you can’t go wrong with is bringing a blanket you can use to sit on, wrap yourselves in, or even hold on to for some casual shots!
