On July 25, 2020, Whitney and Jake said “I do” and had a beautiful Red Barn Farm Wedding!
They initially met because of some heckling in the outfield of a softball game. A couple of years later, Jake proposed at that same field. And we actually went back there for their engagement photos too! I bet it will always be a special place for them!
This venue is a short drive from the cities, and very cute! Whitney had all her favorite ladies getting ready with her, and it was so special to see them having so much fun, and showering the bride with love all day long.
The getting ready room was painted all white, which was perfect for photos!
The Ceremony
A beautiful outdoors ceremony with so many special moments! It actually rained right before the ceremony started, so we all waited a bit for the rain to stop, and as soon as the bridal party walked down the aisle, it started raining again!
But the rain didn’t stop these two from getting married!!!
We did all photos after the ceremony, and I was so thankful we had an outside area that was covered, so we could get started with photos.
The Wedding Colors
And could I be more obsessed with the dusty blue color palette??? Absolutely stunning choice!
The best thing about getting married on a rainy day, is that you get the most perfect cloudy skies… And honestly, I’ve never had a rainy wedding where the rain didn’t stop at least a little so we could still take lots of pictures. Having a fast camera is very nice too!
Whitney and Jake’s puppy, Millie, also joined in the fun and her floral piece from 651 Studio & Floral Design was just the cutest ever!
The best part? Right after dinner the rain completely stopped, and the sun came out, and we did some bride and groom portraits. These are my favorite photos of the entire day!!! These two are the cutest!
Wishing the Minkwitz the happiest marriage! After the wedding they went on a mini moon in Crosslake, MN. Hopefully they will be heading to Hawaii for the real honeymoon soon!
