Yesterday I took my last birth control pill. I’m not ready to start trying for a baby, but I am ready to start detoxing my body from years and years of birth control hormones. I started taking them at 14 to help with horrible cramps and extremely long periods, and haven’t stopped since. Im 32. I’m slowly changing things in my life, like all natural deodorant (I’m loving @primallypure) instead of the toxic antiperspirant, and using either no menstrual pads/tampons, or using an organic one. I’m going to give the cup a try next.
I’m VERY nervous about all the side effects I might experience with no longer taking the pill (like mood swings, acne, heavier periods and cramping), but I’m going for it, and I’m feeling pretty good about the decision. If you’ve been there and have ANY tips or ENCOURAGING stories to share, pretty please share with me!
