I should have made a list of all the details I wanted to share from this wedding. Like the knitted tablecloth made by Katie’s grandma, which I used over my styling board for the invitation suite photos, and adding her grandma’s rings to the ring photos, since Katie got to keep her grandma’s rings after she passed. She also wore her other grandma Anderson’s brooch as a hair piece. And, how perfect that there was a recent article on the vineyard Dan + Katie choose to get married on!
The day started with rain, but by the time we started photos, the rain was gone, and after Dan and Katie had their first look, a ladybug landed on Katie. During our sunset photos, a grasshopper also landed on Katie. I love that those three things (rain, ladybug, and grasshopper) are signs of good luck!
Such an amazing wedding party! During speeches, I got to hear more about the kind of person Katie is. Her maid of honor brought me to tears when she shared about the loss of her 5-month-old-son, and how Katie dropped everything to go be with her.
Dan’s dad had the honor of marrying D+K… An extra special touch!
I love that Dan and Katie had donuts from Glam Doll, because hello, that’s everybody’s favorite! And a Mariachi band??? Best wedding ever!
And if I ever ask you if you want to do sunset photos, the answer is YES, always YES…. Congrats Dan + Katie!
