September 1, 2018, was one of the most beautiful days this year. Aster Cafe had been on my list of places I’d like to shoot for a while, and I got to cross that off my list! Joe and Alex planned their wedding fairly quickly, but they still thought of all the little details…

On a sunny, Summer day, Joe and Alex said “I do…”

Joe was a pile of nerves right before the first look. Everything changed right after he saw Alex though. I always like to walk away and give my couples a few minutes to themselves right after the first look, so they can talk privately, and have a little alone time before all the picture madness!

I’m completely in love with Alex’s dress from Posh Bridal Couture! Alex is a consultant there, so it’s no surprise she was wearing one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever photographed!

And the cutest wedding party… Those flower girls though!

Earlier this year Alex’s dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I look at the photos below, and feel so blessed I was there to take these pictures for them. Alex’s dad was able to walk her down the aisle, and see her marrying Joe.

After a beautiful grand entrance, bride and groom had their first dance, followed by the father/daughter dance. An emotional moment for all to see Alex dancing with her dad…

We just had to take a few minutes at sunset for these pictures…. Congratulations J+A!
