I don’t usually mix business and pleasure (expect when I’m traveling), but with this couple, mixing things was probably the best thing I could have done. Back in 2013 when they booked me to photograph their wedding we barely knew each other. I had met Jereme at his friend’s wedding I shot in Michigan. So when he got engaged to Steph they decided to hire me. 

After I was done shooting the wedding (and boy did I have fun with this group), Jereme gave me a tip and told me to put my equipment away, go have a drink, and dance. Maybe it’s because I was still dealing with a broken heart, maybe it was because it was simply meant to be, but that night I mixed business and pleasure. I stayed with them and their friends through the night, and as luck would have it, we are friends to this day. 

Oh, and if you’re wondering about the blog title… Well, Stereme is their couple nickname. Now you know!
