Today I wanted to give you guys a little peek into my daughter’s light and airy birthday party! I SOOO wish I had taken more photos, but I’ve been trying to really be more present and put my camera and phone down. I did bring a polaroid camera so guests could snap photos and I’m really happy I did that!
I’ve been thinking of this last year. I can’t believe Liv is already 1! I’m glad I blogged her birth story because there’s so much I’ve already forgotten. Time goes by so fast!
I had her party at my studio! It’s big, has beautiful light, and I knew people would have room and not feel too crowded. We are still in a pandemic after all. We decided to have the party very last minute (again, pandemic). But it was perfect! Liv wore the same dress I wore to MY 1 year party! Isn’t it so cute? Her beautiful (and delicious) cake was from our favorite, Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe! It was perfect for my daughter’s light and airy birthday party!
This whole first year I took a LOT of time off. I’m so glad I had a baby after my business was very established. I have workflows for everything, and a wonderful VA to help with lots of tasks, so I was able to spend time learning to be a mom. I didn’t love being pregnant, and I thought the first few months with a baby were very hard. But right now (after a whole year), I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. I love my daughter, and love that she and I can spend so much time together. It truly is a blessing!
On January 7th Liv breastfed for the very last time. Being my breastfeeding journey was hard and emotional, it was still a bittersweet moment for me. I might share more about our breastfeeding journey on another blog post soon.
Thanks for all your support, my clients, friends, and family! I love you so much!
