Isn’t this place beautiful? As a MN Landscape Arboretum photographer, I love that having the annual permit allows me to go back and see how they change the grounds every time I come back for photos! There’s always a new flower exhibit, and I’m amazed at how everything looks so beautiful there all the time! I’m looking forward to shooting there as the seasons change! Even better, my clients get in for free!!! And if you’re wondering about bringing your fury kids, yes, the Arboretum has an area where they are allowed!

I’ve been working with Rob and Heather for a few years now! I met Heather when she was a bridesmaids for another one of my clients, and I’m so glad she reached out when she got engaged! Since then, we’ve definitely become friends, and I’m amazed at some of the similarities we have! For example, we both got married in May of 2018, and we both had our first babies in December of 2020! So her little peanut and mine are both 6 months!!!

What to Wear for Your Photo Session

I love when my clients dress up for photos! One of my tips is to wear an outfit you’d wear to a nice wedding! I also send out a very detailed style guide to help my clients choose outfits, prepare, and know what to expect during the session! This gorgeous family nailed it for sure!

This more casual outfit is also so cute! And it perfectly shows how to coordinate, and not match outfits! I also think this color combo looks amazing! If you’re wondering, R’s adorable romper is from H&M! I’ll have to ask mom where she got hers!
