Are you ready for some natural family photos in Edina? I know we all have our preferences, but natural family photos are not only my favorite, but I’m really good at getting those natural smiles from the whole family! I want my clients to look at their images and see all the little expressions they see everyday, and not those forced, cheesy smiles!

This sweet family is one of my favorites ever, and as a major bonus, mom has the best style ever! Knowing how to coordinate colors, patterns, and textures is no easy task, but she nails it every single time! Her black leather skirt with animal print pumps were so cute! I’m also pretty sure her little one’s outfit came from one of my favorite stores, Zara!

I always send out a Style Guide to my clients when they book their sessions with me so I can help them pick what looks well in photos, but here’s a great visual from what I cover on my Style Guide…

And 3 tips:

1. Don’t be afraid to mix different prints/patterns when putting outfits together. It adds interest and looks super stylish!
2. Do NOT have everyone wear the same color, unless you’re being super intentional about it (like a beach session with everyone wearing white).
3. After you pick the outfits, lay them on your bed together and see if you like everything together. Snap a picture and send it to your photographer for an extra opinion 🙂
