An in-home newborn session is definitely my favorite way of capturing newborn sessions! It’s natural, easy-going, and you get to capture the special place you brought your baby home to from the hospital. Now, it doesn’t always work. Sometimes the nursery doesn’t get ready in time, sometimes you simply want to leave the house and go somewhere different for a couple of hours, and that’s ok too! For my daughter’s newborn session we ended up going to my studio (a 10 min drive), and it was perfect for us. But if we have a second baby, I want in-home all the way!

And this sweet family is one of my favorites EVER! I remember years ago photographing their engagement session, and feeling like we probably would become friends…
