This light and airy Bavaria Downs Wedding will take your breath away! Tyler and Katie’s day started with plenty of time for “getting ready” shots. I was able to give lots of attention to all the details they so carefully chose for their special day! Bavaria Downs is one of those venues that leaves nothing to be desired! I used a lot of the venue as background to showcase the wedding dress, flowers, shoes, veil, an other details. This is going to be a long post, full of tips!
It’s probably not a surprise that I love photographing “detail heavy” weddings. That’s because I think it truly helps to set the tone for the wedding day. From the save the date, to the invitation suite, to the color palette chosen, and even as little as the ribbons that will be used to tie the bouquet… Every little details tells a small part of the big story of the wedding day. Matching robes? Yes, please! Slippers? Um, of course!
The wedding Details
If you happen to get the most beautiful bridal shoes from Bella Belle, you better believe I’ll take multiple photos of it! Make sure the flowers get delivered to the bridal suite before the photographer arrives, with a few extra flowers and greenery so they can use it for styling the details! Makes a huge difference!
I also ask my couples to bring 2-3 copies of all their paper goods (including envelopes) so I can photograph everything! The wax seals Katie had on the menus, the personalized ring box, and cups, were beautiful enhancements to their wedding day! And to the pictures!
And another tip, make sure whoever is helping the bride into her dress is also dressed and looking fabulous for this very special moment!
I love blogging because it really shows how well the details go together. Look at the robes/colors on the left, then at the flowers on the right. It just goes together so beautifully!
The First Look at Bavaria Downs
Tyler chose this spot for their first look. I loved it! Between the clouds, the venue in the background, and the water fountain, wow, it was perfect! And sweet Rosie pup joined the fun looking as beautiful as ever in her flower crown!
Their puppy, Rosie, joined for photos and wore the cutest flower arrangement!
Tyler and Katie’s first date was at Libertine in Uptown about 4 years ago! Things just “clicked” for them, especially when they found out they shared a love for the TV show Survivor! Their favorite thing to do together is travel, and go on adventures!
The Wedding Party
The sweetest wedding party! And those bridesmaids dresses were absolutely stunning! I love the neutral color and how timelines it is!
A Beautiful Ceremony at Bavaria Downs
The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful on Tyler and Katie’s wedding day. The clouds came in making the outdoor ceremony even more pleasant. T&K wrote their own vows, which involved the promise to always go on adventures together… So sweet! Did I mention Tyler proposed after they jumped off a plane?
Anyone else love seeing the pure joy that takes place after a wedding ceremony??? Couples go months, sometimes years, planning their wedding, and in that moment, it sinks in: they’re married! Bavaria’s long path gives lots of time to celebrate!
Tip: Use cocktail hour to get any extra groupings of people photographed! But remember you don’t want to spend the whole time during photos either. I always tell my clients you want to have that cocktail with your friends!
Pink and Gold Reception Details at Bavaria Downs
Did you fall in love with this light and airy Bavaria Downs Wedding?? Tyler and Katie dreamed up the most beautiful wedding day, and it was such an honor to be there to capture all the little details. They did the coolest champagne pour, and it was my first time seeing that done! Don’t worry, very little champagne was lost in the process!
One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was the speeches. I love getting to know my couples better as I hear more about them from their loved ones! Katie’s brother’s did a SKOL chant with everyone and it was so cool! Cheers!
