When I went to Australia in March (for the most amazing engagement session), my client set me up on google so I could start getting reviews! I emailed a few clients, and got the sweetest reviews right away! Here are some of my favorite 2019 lifestyle/family reviews!

Poly is the epitome of what happens when passion and professionalism collide. Being somewhat introverted, the thought of getting photos taken always left me feeling unsettled; that is, until we worked with Poly! She has such a natural talent for making YOU feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, almost as if you forget it’s happening! Her ability to do this all while capturing raw moments radiate through her work. Did I mention she’s amazing with newborns?! Poly has so much patience and grace in handling newborns; especially in those beginning days when you are all adjusting to a new family member. Not a detail goes unnoticed when you work with Poly. Poly’s high expectations for her work are so apparent in the overall production, presentation and delivery of your photos. It’s no wonder her work is so beautiful because she really does pride herself in every detail. And, as her client, I truly thank her for that!

Is it possible for a random photographer you meet to become a family member? Yes, if you meet Poly Mendes. I attended a friends wedding that she photographed. I knew she was something special when she STOPPED TRAFFIC IN DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS to get the perfect shot of the wedding party on a balcony. Poly became our family photographer and friend. She is not the run of the mill JC Penney back-to-school photographer. She has the gift of seeing imagery in her head and putting it down on paper (or canvas!). As a result, she has captured nearly every annual stage of my young daughter through the years. She also did my older daughters wedding, and the images she gathered could adorn the pages of any bridal magazine ever published. She’s expensive, and she is worth every single dollar. Her artwork adorns the halls of our home, and to us… she has become part of our family. She has captured our memories, and she’s truly one of a kind. You will be fortunate if she has room on her calendar for your wedding, your special event, or just your own private photo shoot. I have told her a million times she is exactly one photo away from becoming famous. Catch her while you can. I won’t post pictures here, but when you meet with her ask her to see a few of the images of my beautiful daughters.

Poly is the greatest! She has taken our engagement, wedding, family and baby photos and she always blows us away with her creativity, efficiency, professionalism, friendliness, and GORGEOUS finished product. She has such an amazing way of getting beautiful, NATURAL looking photos from even the toughest of subjects [BABIES!!] and does it all with a smile and gentleness that makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. She also has the best customer service! You can never go wrong with Poly as your photographer!!
