When I was a child I felt a year took forever to go by. Life was simple, decisions even simpler, and I spent my days playing outside with my friends, climbing trees, and reading lots and lots of books.
I’m writing to you from yet another airplane, and it’s December 31, 2017. I’m 31 years old and I swear yesterday was still January 1, of a decade ago. I’m not complaining time is flying by, but I can’t help but realize another year is gone. The older I get, the more I fight to live a life worth living, to take chances, to say yes, and to say no, to go for it even when people say it’s impossible.
2017 is over, but the consequences of this year make me smile, and make me proud of my decisions. I went on a cruise in February, and another one in March; I got engaged in June; found my wedding dress and shoes in July; I also launched an online IPS class in July; I went to Amsterdam and Italy in September; bought a house with my fiancé in Phoenix, which is now available for guests through Airbnb; I also got published on MN Bride Magazine; found my wedding photographer (Mike Colon) who I’m obsessed with, and invested on my business in many ways, including going to the Showit Conference in Phoenix, which was AWESOME!
I also shot 12 weddings, 10 engagements, and 53 portrait sessions! What a year 2017 was, and I’m so looking forward to 2018! CHEERS!
