You guys!!! Hello and welcome to the second blog post of “Wedding Talk” with my fabulous brides! Maria has been a complete joy to work with, and I’m obviously obsessed with her. With just a few months to her wedding, I’m glad we had the chance to sit down and chat a little bit.

1. When is the wedding, how many guests, what are the venues?

Our wedding is on December 9, 2017. We are getting married at the Church of St. Peter in North St. Paul, which is followed by our reception at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood. We are sharing our special day with 240 loved ones and friends!

2. What has been the most stressful part of wedding planning?

The most stressful part of wedding planning has been planning from afar. Since we live in another state, it’s difficult to get back to Minnesota where the majority of the wedding planning occurs. When we do come back to Minnesota, it’s normally for a quick weekend trip, and those weekends are usually crammed with important wedding meetings. I really appreciate the flexibility of those who are helping plan our wedding, because our schedules are definitely not convenient for all those wonderful people.

3. What are you most excited for for the wedding day?

I am most excited to finally call Gavin my husband! I can’t wait to marry my best friend in front of all our family and friends. I’m also excited to bring my family together with Gavin’s. My family is everything to me, and I’m grateful for the new family I will gain.

4. Biggest tip you’d give to someone about to have their engagement session?

The biggest tip I’d give to someone about to have their engagement session is to wear clothes that represent you and your relationship. It’s fun to dress up, but always make sure there is a hint of you and your relationship somewhere in the outfit or shot. Poly was always able to capture the harmony between my fiance and me, so be true to yourself when deciding what to wear.

5. Favorite thing about working with Poly?

Poly has a charismatic demeanor to her that makes you feel like you are working with your closest friend. Her creative lens sparks beautiful moments and pictures that are beyond my imagination, and while her work is incredible, she makes everything simple for her couples. Not only is she innovative and attentive, but she is a thoughtful listener. I have turned to Poly many times for wedding advice that has nothing to do with photography, and each time she has helped me with whatever I need. I could not be more thankful that Poly is our photographer. Because of her organization and stunning work, I know I will have beautiful pictures to last me a lifetime.
