I truly believe in continuing education as a business owner. I’ve heard people boasting about never paying for a course, and it makes me sad. Learning and improving your craft should be a top priority in running a successful business. I have invested anywhere from 2-10k every year in workshops, online courses, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and it has been worth every penny. 

Just recently I had the pleasure of taking Brandon Werth’s workshop and the business person in me was completely floored by the artist in him. His studio space, which he shares with a few other creatives, had me wishing I could expand my business to design photography as well. Everything was beautiful! 

One of my favorite parts of the workshop was the photo critique. We each brought 3 12×18 photos to share and receive constructive criticism. In our world of social media sharing, we mainly receive compliments, however it is so true that we learn the most by having our worked critiqued. 

We also had two shoots, one being a night one, which was very challenging, and extremely helpful for me. We also had one-on-one time with Brandon and the models to get deeper into personal questions we might have. 

This workshop is a great fit for you if you’re looking to be inspired, push yourself creatively, and learn new ways to interact with your clients. Please note Brandon is 99% ARTIST. So communication might be a little slow, but I’m very glad I attended and am looking forward to attending another one in the future.
