Marci and I grew up together. She was a little older than, but we’ve always been friends. Through the years we’ve shared so much, and she has become more than a friend to me. She’s my sister. When she met Keith I actually felt protective, but he immediately won me over with his laid back personality and smile.
When I arrived at the hotel to get the getting ready shots, I was blown away by all the beautiful details. She had kept the dress a secret from everybody (except a very few group of people), and chose everything so well…
Keith was also surrounded by his best friends. It was an emotional moment to see them praying and asking for God’s blessing on his life and Marci’s, and their marriage.
THE CEREMONY
The couple chose a beautiful church in Bloomington for the ceremony, the Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church. One of my favorite moments was Marci’s dad, George, not only walking her down the aisle, but also performing the ceremony! What an honor to have your dad marry you!
THE WEDDING PARTY
A Wedding Party for the books, for sure! The black dresses with yellow flowers were beautiful, and the girls rocked it out! Fun fact, one of the bridesmaids is actually 65 years old, although if you look at these pictures, I’m sure you you’d never know…
THE BRIDE AND GROOM
During the vows, Keith said: “God blessed the broken rode, that led you straight to me.” He said Marci was a gift from God. George, Marci’s dad and pastor, explained how marriage is a box, and how we have to keep putting things inside that box, so that there’s always something to pull out of the box. Based on how much these two adore each other, I think they’ll be pouring into that box daily!
THE RECEPTION
The reception took place at the Minnesota Valley Country Club, in Bloomington. Beautifully decorated by Marci’s cousin, Kristi Fonseca. It was one of those nights you don’t want to see end…
