A year ago in August, Ethan bought the ring to propose to Jenna. However, it took him several failed attempts, and two months for him to actually pop the question! They wanted an August wedding so with only ten months to plan they hired the best planner, Kirsten, from Fab Event Design. In those same ten months they opened a business, moved, and studied for the Bar Exam, which they took together a couple of weeks before the wedding. I think everybody around them is just darn impressed by the two!

Friends and family are everything to this couple and they made sure to include everybody! Instead of the typical wedding party, their best friends and siblings drove around Minneapolis with them, as they cheered, sipped some bubbly, and took pictures. Did I mention it was a rainy day? Jenna took it like a champ and didn’t let it bother her at all… my kind of gal!

I have to admit these two made me fall a little deeper in love with being a wedding photographer. Their kindness, attention to detail, Jenna’s love for macarons… Seriously, I was meant to shoot this wedding. And the optional bow on her dress? Yes, Obsessed!

THE CEREMONY

Jenna changed into her grandmother’s dress for the ceremony at of University Lutheran Church of Hope. Her grandma wore it in 1956 to get married on a rainy day as well. The dress fit Jenna perfectly!

THE RECEPTION

The Depot, in Minneapolis is a fantastic venue and it was perfect for Ethan and Jenna’s reception. Gorgeous floral by Sadie’s Couture and deserts (the macarons were AMAZING!) by Cocoa & Fig just sealed the deal for a perfect day! See the entire vendor list at the end of the post!
