I’ve been thinking a lot about engagement sessions lately. Maybe because I’m also engaged, and it has turned on quite a few light bulbs in my head. The more I thought about the session itself, and what it should show to the world, the more I realized it needed to be about so much more than just beautiful pictures, with beautiful outfits, and beautiful locations. The engagement session should really, truly, be about who you are as a couple.
Fabrizio and Laura have been together for eight years! Being the true Italian guy that he is, the very first meal he cooked for her was pasta con aglio, olio e peperoncino (spaghetti with roasted garlic, red pepper and olive oil/parmesan).
Our engagement session started at their home, with Fabrizio making that first meal, from years ago, for both Laura and I. I got to witness all the fun and love they share while cooking together, AND I also got to taste the amazing Italian meal! This is only part one of their session! And to make things even more awesome, today I got to cook Fabrizio’s pasta recipe to MY fiance… he approves!
